Lufthansa Marks Its 100th Anniversary with Six Special Liveries

Germany’s flag carrier Lufthansa is preparing to celebrate its 100th anniversary by giving six different aircraft types special commemorative liveries. Leading the lineup will be a Boeing 787 Dreamliner (registered D-ABPU), set to debut in April 2026. By autumn, the iconic Airbus A380, Boeing 747-8, Airbus A350-900 and A350-1000, as well as the A320, will join the fleet with their own anniversary designs.

The centennial-themed liveries are designed to honor Lufthansa’s history while showcasing its vision for the future. Representing the airline’s diverse fleet of aircraft, the six specially painted jets will offer an eye-catching spectacle for both the industry and aviation enthusiasts.

The newly painted aircraft are expected to appear across European skies and on intercontinental routes during the 2026 summer season.
